About me

Hello, my name is Rachael and the gym is my safe space. Let me help you make it yours. Don’t get me wrong it hasn’t always been like this, I’ve overcome gym anxiety over the years and it is definitely something I can help with. My background is not massively sporty, I actually hated P.E in school, but things like netball and football I have played competitively as they always tended to be my favourites. I got into weightlifting in college as a hobby with my brother, and let’s just say I found it really hard in the beginning. I was very weak and didn’t eat very well. However, after a little while of getting used it I actually found the benefits to be life changing for me. And as much as you probably think I mean the physical benefits (which are great too), I actually mean the mental benefits. The stress and the happy hormone release is a game changer! My goal is to make the weights section a more approachable section of the gym and show people that they can and deserve to be training there as much as anyone else does. I love talking about exercise and encouraging people to try it out and experiment with what they enjoy.
